The background:
It became possible to write this book because of a series of scribbles of notes I had written based on the understandings I had gathered during the courses I had taken sponsored by many institutions over the years. I had been taking these courses to better understand the fundamental aspect of my own existence that allows me to perceive, generate behavior and philosophy. Of the courses I had taken, ones that produced the greatest impact in my mind are follows:
• Medical Neuroscience - Leonard E. White, Ph.D. Associate Professor. Department of Neurobiology, Duke University School of Medicine.
• Understanding of the Brain: The Neurobiology of Everyday Life - Peggy Mason, Professor of Neurobiology, University of Chicago.
• Synapses, Neurons, and Brains - Idan Segev, Professor, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
• Drugs and Brain - Henry A Lester, Bren Professor, Division of Biology and Biological Engineering, Caltech.
• The Addicted Brain - Michael Kuhar, Ph.D., Professor, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience. Emory University.
• Computational Neuroscience - Rajesh Rao, Professor, Computer Science and Engineering and Adrienne Fairhal, Associate Professor, Physiology and Biophysics, University of Washington.
• Genes and the Human Condition (From Behavior to Biotechnology) - Raymond J. St. Leger, Professor Department of Entomology and Tammatha O'Brien, Lecturer Department of Entomology, University of Maryland, College Park.
• In addition, I had taken a few courses in Clinical Neurology.
Moreover, over the years, I have maintained registered access to Neurology Journals published by the American Academy of Neurology; Brain, A Journal of Neurology, Oxford Academics; Journal of Neurological Sciences by Elsevier; NCBI-NIH archive of Brain and Behavior.
Once I decided to expound on the notes to a meaningful presentation, I decided to compile them into a book and that is how The Enigmatic Brain Reveals became a reality.
